The end of terrace property in Tydeman Road afforded enough room to create a functional extension, by bringing the property wall up to the pavement, and utilising a previously under-used portion of the side garden. A single storey side extension provided the family with a separate, spacious dining room, as well as an enlarged hallway and additional cloakroom. Although the extension created considerably more room internally, the building’s exterior was not overwhelming, thanks to the scope of the area to the front of the structure. To further blend into the landscape, the extension was designed using materials that matched the existing and surrounding properties.
A complete set of Design and Technical drawings was produced to gain Planning and Building Regulation Consents.
