It was an absolute pleasure to work on this quirky, stylish project for a client with a clear idea of the aesthetic they wanted to achieve. My brief was to provide a large annex in lieu of the prefabricated garage located to the rear of their property. The annex was to have patio doors to the living room with a large skylight/lantern overhead, as well as unique circular windows to other rooms, engineered wood flooring to all rooms, black radiators and copper fittings such as sockets, switches, light fittings and door furniture throughout.
Additionally, they wanted black marble worktop in the kitchen, to include a copper sink, cooker and hob. The bedroom was to be fitted with black panelled wardrobes, copper fittings and a copper bath tub. The walk-in shower room was to have a copper wash hand basin and black units. The footprint of the new Annex equalled 76 m², giving me plenty of room to create a sense of space and light despite the dramatic decor.
A scheme design was produced and gained Planning Consent. Technical drawings complete with specifications were also produced and gained Building Control Approval. The project was fully managed until completion; ready for the family member to move in. The results, as can be seen from the pictures, are quite spectacular, and I am extremely honoured to have been given the opportunity to help my clients realise their vision.
