The planning permission for this property was for a change of use that would convert the Butcher/Grocery shop into a Hot Food take-away.
Planning Consent was gained for this project despite the constraints of environmental issues. The proposed scheme design met with Council Policies aimed at reducing noise and odour pollution in this residential area.
Although there were minimal structural changes, it was important that the building be subtly altered in order to improve access and create an interior befitting its new function. The front entrance has a flush threshold for wheelchair access and the interior is less cluttered to allow for health and safety compliance, as well as being better fit for purpose. The Hot Food take-away facility is proving popular in this residential area and is a firm favourite with the local population.
