Situated in a quiet suburban area, this new build replaced an existing three-bedroom bungalow, and was designed to a relatively tight budget. The simple, functional layout was created with a neat and attractive aesthetic that makes it ideal for family life.
I produced a scheme based on a grid system for a three-bedroom house. The main entrance is light and spacious and is located at the centre of the dwelling. A simple study/cloakroom and staircase lie to one side of the main entrance, with an open plan layout for a living/dining room and kitchen to the other. Although my priority with this design was to retain a certain economy of scale and budget, the property is nonetheless a charming example of contemporary architecture and a light, airy environment in which to live.
All of the required drawings and consultations for this House were provided in order to gain Planning and Building Regulation Consents.
